Holidays can be such a nightmare. There are so many things to sort out and plans to be made. I had been planning on going abroad on holiday this year. It’s been very tricky finding a villa in a nice quiet area that we are all going to like. Once I had found the perfect villa, then trying to find flights to get me there and back on the right day was a complete nightmare. I’m sure I’m not the only person who thinks that flight prices have risen sharply The price you see advertised is not the end of it, then you have to add on luggage charges, meals, sitting together etc.
Finally I had everything sorted and was about to book both the flights and the villa and then my husband tells me he isn’t allowed to take the time off work because a colleague is already away at that time. I give up, no truly I have given up and have decided that I am going to take the stress out of it all and take a look at UK family holidays. I can go wherever I like, when I like and it really doesn’t matter about when we go.
Of course my daughter is in her element as she thinks it’s going to be great. She has already started looking at things we can all do and the UK Activity Holidays websites have been pulled up on the computer. She has picked out a few places in Wales that she likes the look of. It’s amazing how many different activities we can take part in. To kick off she has already lined up a spot of abseiling, closely followed by surfing and climbing. Unfortunately for me it would seem that my sunbathing week is not going to happen this year and instead I am going to be kept busy.
By the sounds of it in fact, I will be so busy that I am going to have to think about having a look at UK short breaks on my return. Well I’m not used to an active holiday and the most I usually like to do is sip my gin and tonic and pop in the pool to cool off when the heat gets too much.
